The first stanza starts with these words, \u201cGod of our fathers, whose almighty hand \u2026\u201d.\u00a0 Then, halfway through the second stanza,<\/p>\n<p><b>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u201cBe Thou our ruler, guardian, guide, and stay, <i><u>Thy Word our law<\/u>,<\/i> Thy paths our chosen way.\u201d <\/b><span style=\"font-size: small;\">[emph. added]<br \/>\n<\/span><br \/>\nAuthor Daniel Roberts wrote this hymn in 1876 for a \u201cCentennial\u201d Fourth of July celebration.\u00a0 In 1892 it was included in the Protestant Episcopal Hymnal, and now is published in 366 hymnals (source: <a href=\"https:\/\/hymnary.org\/\">Hymnary.org<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>We may still <u>sing<\/u> this hymn, 142 years after it was written; but in an America of about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.numberofabortions.com\/\">61 million<\/a> children <i>reported\u00a0<\/i>murdered by \u201cabortion\u201d since the 1973 Supreme Court Roe v. Wade <i>Opinion, <\/i>and in an America where sodomite \u201cmarriage\u201d is considered \u201clawful\u201d <i>[sic]<\/i> after the 2015 Supreme Court Obergefell <i>Opinion,<\/i> we do not <u>live<\/u> this hymn.<br \/>\n____________________________________________<\/p>\n<p>In America today as we enter 2019, is there a faithful remnant Christian people extant in this country who possess the <u>knowledge<\/u>, <u>vision<\/u> (spiritual, prophetic), <u>faith<\/u>, <u>courage<\/u>, and <u>will<\/u> to seek to re-establish the Bible, the Word of God, as the rule in our lives, our families, our churches, and our civil government, as did the early New England Puritan colonial founders in this land in the 1600\u2019s ?\u00a0 God says, \u201cMy people are destroyed for lack of <b><u>knowledge<\/u>:<\/b>\u2026\u201d (Hosea 4:6, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bartleby.com\/108\/\">KJV<\/a>).\u00a0 In the Proverbs, knowledge is valued and seen worthy of pursuit; it is mentioned in 22 of the 31 chapters of Proverbs.\u00a0 God says, \u201cWhere <i>there is<\/i> no <b><u>vision<\/u> <\/b>(spiritual, prophetic)<b>,<\/b> the people perish:\u201d (Proverb 29:18, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bartleby.com\/108\/\">KJV<\/a>); yet within American evangelicalism, the prophetic spirit is generally quenched, and the prophetic ministry often denied and rejected (1 Thessalonians 5:19, 20; Ephesians 4:11,12, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bartleby.com\/108\/\">KJV<\/a>).\u00a0 John the Baptist was called by the Son of God the greatest of prophets (Luke 7:26-28, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bartleby.com\/108\/\">KJV<\/a>), and yet John the Baptist wrote not one word of the Scriptural canon (66 books of the Bible). The prophetic ministry, despite all the red herring and strawman arguments to the contrary, does <u>not<\/u> any longer include adding to the written text of Scripture.\u00a0 <u>The canon is closed<\/u>. And the prophetic ministry does <u>not<\/u> <i>only<\/i> include foretelling, but most frequently today is manifested as <b><i>forthtelling\u00a0<\/i><\/b>(e.g., preaching, and not just by pastors), as did John the Baptist (Matthew 14:3-5, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bartleby.com\/108\/\">KJV<\/a>).\u00a0 To preach the Word of God from the 66 books of the Bible is to prophesy, and the sword of the Spirit is unsheathed for its work when it is dutifully applied to the matter at hand, as did John the Baptist.\u00a0 Furthermore, the Bible says, \u201cBut without <b><u>faith<\/u><\/b> <i>it is<\/i> impossible to please\u201d God (Hebrews 11:6, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bartleby.com\/108\/\">KJV<\/a>); and, \u201c\u2026 with God all things are possible.\u201d (Matthew 19:26, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bartleby.com\/108\/\">KJV<\/a>).\u00a0 Do American Christians have the <b><u>courage<\/u> <\/b>and <b><u>will<\/u><\/b> to \u201cearnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.\u201d ? (Jude v.3, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bartleby.com\/108\/\">KJV<\/a>).\u00a0 Yes, I believe so, and we do not need the defeatist, escapist, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.presenttruthmag.com\/archive\/XIV\/14-6.htm\">Jesuitical Futurists<\/a> to discourage us ! Read Psalm 110:1, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bartleby.com\/108\/\">KJV<\/a>; quoted in Matthew 22:44; Mark 12:36; Luke 20:42,43; Acts 2:34,35; Hebrews 10:12,13, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bartleby.com\/108\/\">KJV<\/a>.<br \/>\n_______________________________________<\/p>\n<p>Do you know why the State of Connecticut is called \u201cThe Constitution State\u201d ?\u00a0 The first constitution written in America, adopted January 14, 1639, was <a href=\"http:\/\/avalon.law.yale.edu\/17th_century\/order.asp\">The Fundamental Orders of Connecticut<\/a>, which stated in the Preamble:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">For as much as it hath pleased <b>Almighty God<\/b> by the wise disposition of <b>his divine providence<\/b> so to order and dispose of things that we the Inhabitants and Residents of Windsor, Hartford and Wethersfield are now cohabiting and dwelling in and upon the River of Connectecotte and the lands thereunto adjoining; and well knowing where a people are gathered together <b>the word of God requires<\/b> that to maintain the peace and union of such a people there should be an orderly and decent <b>Government established according to God,<\/b> to order and dispose of the affairs of the people at all seasons as occasion shall require; do therefore associate and conjoin ourselves to be as one Public State or Commonwealth; and do for ourselves and our successors and such as shall be adjoined to us at any time hereafter, enter into Combination and Confederation together,\u00a0<b>to maintain and preserve the liberty and purity of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus which we now profess<\/b>, as also, the discipline of the Churches, which according to <b>the truth of the said Gospel<\/b> is now practiced amongst us; as also in our civil affairs to be guided and governed according to such Laws, Rules, Orders and Decrees as shall be made, ordered, and decreed as followeth:\u201d\u00a0 [emphasis added]<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Later in the same year, the <a href=\"http:\/\/avalon.law.yale.edu\/17th_century\/ct01.asp\">Fundamental Agreement<\/a>, or <a href=\"http:\/\/avalon.law.yale.edu\/17th_century\/ct01.asp\">Original Constitution of the Colony of New Haven<\/a> was adopted June 4, 1639, as a series of questions adopted in the affirmative by the assembled meeting, including:<\/p>\n<p><b>Query I. <\/b>WHETHER <b>the scriptures<\/b> do hold forth <b>a perfect rule<\/b> for the direction and government of all men in all duties which they are to perform to GOD and men, <b>as well in families and commonwealth,<\/b> <b>as in matters of the church ?<\/b>\u00a0 (Agreed to unanimously by holding up of hands, no man dissenting).\u00a0 <span style=\"font-size: small;\">[emphasis added]<br \/>\n<\/span><br \/>\n<b>Query II. <\/b>WHEREAS \u2026 as in matters that concern the gathering and ordering of a church, <b>so likewise in all public [offices] which concern civil order,<\/b> <b>as choice of magistrates and officers, making and repealing laws,<\/b> dividing allotments of inheritance, and all things of like nature,<b> we would all of us be ordered by those rules which the scripture holds forth<\/b> to [us]; this covenant was called a plantation [civil] covenant, to distinguish it from a church covenant. (Agreed to unanimously by holding up of hands, no man dissenting).\u00a0 <span style=\"font-size: small;\">[excerpt, emphasis added]<br \/>\n<\/span>_________________________________________<\/p>\n<p>The two documents above ordering civil government are part of America\u2019s Christian heritage.\u00a0 It is a matter of the historical record.\u00a0 There is much, much more.\u00a0 Click on the <a href=\"http:\/\/christianlifeandliberty.net\/No-King-but-King-Jesus.pdf\"><b>No King but King Jesus !<\/b><\/a> link in the online version of this newsletter posted at the Christians for Personhood website [ <a href=\"http:\/\/christiansforpersonhood.com\">http:\/\/christiansforpersonhood.com<\/a> ] to see for yourself.<\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"http:\/\/christianlifeandliberty.net\/No-King-but-King-Jesus.pdf\">No King but King Jesus !<\/a>\u00a0 ( The Lord Jesus Christ )<br \/>\n<\/b>Declarations and Evidences of <b>Christian Faith<\/b> in America\u2019s Colonial Charters, State Constitutions, and other Historical Documents during over 375 Years of American History<b>:<\/b> 1606 to 1982<\/p>\n<p>Christian, do you know why America has been a blessed nation on the earth in the past ?\u00a0 Read Psalm 33:12; Proverb 14:34; Isaiah 33:22, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bartleby.com\/108\/\">KJV<\/a>.\u00a0 Do you know why America is already being judged and is approaching calamitous Judgment even now ?\u00a0 Read Psalm 9:17, Deuteronomy chapter 28, and Leviticus chapter 26.\u00a0 There are national, corporate blessings and cursings (judgments) upon nations for obeying and disobeying <u>God and His Word<\/u>, <u>the Bible<\/u>.<\/p>\n<p><b>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 America as founded was in great measure a fruit of the Christian <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Protestant_Reformation\">Protestant Reformation<\/a>.\u00a0 <\/b><u>The Word of God\u00a0<\/u>set much of northern Europe free from the spiritual darkness and tyranny of Popery with the launch of the Reformation in 1517, restoring the <u>Biblical Truth of Justification by Faith Alone<\/u>.\u00a0 Eventually and consequently, <u>civil liberty<\/u> improved among Reformation nations.\u00a0 The Bible says, \u201c\u2026where the Spirit of the Lord <i>is,<\/i> there <i>is<\/i> liberty.\u201d (2 Corinth. 3:17, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bartleby.com\/108\/\">KJV<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Just as the Pilgrims (Reformed Puritan Separatist Christians) fled Europe to escape religious persecution, coming to America to seek religious liberty, so did many others.\u00a0 They sought to establish a life based upon <b>the Word of God ( The Bible ).<\/b>\u00a0 To the degree the Founding and Framing and following generations of America followed the Bible, this nation has been blessed.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">\u00a0 American Slavery was a gross exception, for which, without repentance, this nation was Divinely and calamitously <a href=\"http:\/\/christianlifeandliberty.net\/2015-07-03%20-%20CCL%20-%20The-War-Between-the-States-was-God's-judgment-upon-both-North-and-South-for-the-national-sin-of-American-chattel-slavery.pdf\">judged<\/a> with the <a href=\"http:\/\/christianlifeandliberty.net\/WarBetweenStates.htm\">War Between Americans<\/a>, 1861-1865; much as America is again today in 2018, headed for a <\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000; font-size: small;\">national bloodbath<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\"> if we will not\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff; font-size: small;\"><u>repent<\/u><\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\"> of the <\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000; font-size: small;\">shedding of innocent blood<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\"> by <\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000; font-size: small;\">child-murder by &#8220;abortion&#8221;<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\"> and rightly, truly, &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/constitutionus.com\/?t=Preample%20to%20the%20Constitution#preamble\"> establish Justice<\/a>&#8221; for <u>all<\/u> human beings. Furthermore, the ongoing incremental <i>&#8220;regulation&#8221;<\/i> of this gross national corporate sin of <\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000; font-size: small;\">child-murder<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\"> will not spare us from God&#8217;s Judgment, just as the &#8220;<i>regulation&#8221;<\/i> of the gross national corporate sin of American Slavery did not spare the nation from the &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/christianlifeandliberty.net\/2015-08-14-Abraham-Lincoln-The-War-Years-Vol-4-Carl-Sandburg-1939.pdf\"> terrible war<\/a>&#8221; given by God to &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/christianlifeandliberty.net\/2015-08-14-Abraham-Lincoln-The-War-Years-Vol-4-Carl-Sandburg-1939.pdf\"> both North and South<\/a>&#8221; and the attendant loss of 600,000 &#8211; 700,000 American lives in 1861-1865.<br \/>\n<\/span><br \/>\nSo how many Americans<i>, <u>including Christians<\/u>,<\/i> understand today, without the Christian <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Protestant_Reformation\">Protestant Reformation<\/a>, there would not have been the<i> &#8220;America&#8221; <\/i>which was <u>Declared Independent<\/u> in 1776; and whose <u>Constitution<\/u> was <u>Signed\u00a0<\/u>in 1787, and <u>Ratified<\/u> in 1788, and <u>Implemented<\/u> in 1789; and in which the Individual Rights of American citizens are protected <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><i><u>from the federal government<\/u><\/i><\/span> by the <u>Bill of Rights<\/u> which was <u>Ratified<\/u> in 1791 !!!???<\/p>\n<p>In the decade before the first shots of the American Revolution (War for American Independence) were fired on the green (common) at Lexington (Mass.) on April 19, 1775, English jurist <a href=\"https:\/\/en.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/William_Blackstone\"><b>William Blackstone<\/b><\/a> published his four books of <a href=\"http:\/\/lonang.com\/library\/reference\/blackstone-commentaries-law-england\/\"><b><i>Commentaries on the Laws of England (1765-1769)<\/i><\/b><\/a>.\u00a0 \u201cThe <a href=\"https:\/\/en.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Commentaries_on_the_Laws_of_England\"><i>Commentaries<\/i><\/a><i> <\/i>were long regarded as the leading work on the development of English law and played a role in the development of the American legal system.\u201d\u00a0 &#8220;The <i>Commentaries<\/i> are often quoted as the definitive pre-<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/American_Revolution\"> Revolutionary<\/a> source of common law by <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Courts_of_the_United_States\">United States courts<\/a>.&#8221;\u00a0 &#8220;For decades, a study of the <i>Commentaries<\/i> was required reading for all first year law students.&#8221;\u00a0 Blackstone&#8217;s Commentaries were used before, and for approximately 100 years after, the American Revolution (1776-1783) to train lawyers in the United States, <b><i><u>including<\/u> at the University of South Carolina School of Law during part of the Reconstruction Era (1867-1877) after the USC Law School opened in 1867.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>University of South Carolina Law School curriculum included Blackstone\u2019s <i>Commentaries <\/i>at times during period 1867-1877:<\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"http:\/\/christianlifeandliberty.net\/USC-Law-School-History-Narrative-received-from-Coleman-Karesh-Law-Library-USC-School-of-Law-Feb-4-2016.pdf\">USC Law School History<\/a>: Reconstruction Era (1867-1877)\u00a0 <\/b><span style=\"font-size: small;\">[excerpts, emphasis added]<br \/>\n<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: small;\">The University of South Carolina School of Law was established as one of ten academic schools when South Carolina College was reorganized as the University of South Carolina in 1865 and 1866.\u00a0 The Board of Trustees elected twenty-seven year old South Carolina attorney Alexander Cheves Haskell as the first professor of law and the law school opened on October 7, 1867. Moore<\/i>, 1883 )<br \/>\n\u201c\u2026 our laws and our institutions<\/b> must necessarily be based upon and embody the teachings of <b>the Redeemer of mankind. <\/b>It is impossible that it should be otherwise.\u00a0 In this sense and to this extent, <b>our civilizations and our institutions are emphatically Christian, \u2026\u201d <\/b>[47 Am.Rep. 449]<b>\u00a0 <\/b>[emphasis added]<\/p>\n<p>___________________________________________<\/p>\n<p>Just as <u>the Word of God<\/u> unsheathed, set free nations on the European Continent during the Reformation, so can <u>the sword of the Spirit<\/u> set America free as we enter 2019.\u00a0 It is <u>not<\/u> \u201cconservativism\u201d, or the Republican Party (and certainly not the Democrat Party), or the Romish\/ecumenical so-called \u201cPro-Life Movement\u201d which will deliver America from the suicidal path we are on presently, of national calamity, financial collapse, destruction, and possibly the terrible divine recompense of a bloodbath for national sin as the nation experienced 1861-1865.<\/p>\n<p>Especially we who are called by the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ must Repent and turn from our wicked ways.\u00a0<u>Then<\/u> God will hear from heaven, forgive our sin, and heal our land.\u00a0 We must Repent of not doing God\u2019s work, in God\u2019s way, according to God\u2019s Word, for His Glory !\u00a0 In the pro-life arena, these sins include unequal yoking with unbelievers and false religionists, <i>and consequently,<\/i> pursuing incremental \u201cregulation\u201d of child-murder instead of standing in faith and obedience upon the Word of God and striving for abolition and the establishment of justice <i><u>now<\/u><\/i> !<\/p>\n<p>Christian, the whole purpose of this newsletter, is to affirm and impart what Blackstone wrote about 250 years ago in his <i>Commentaries,<\/i> which were used to train lawyers in America for 100 years, including right here in Columbia, South Carolina at the USC Law School; i.e., ALL human laws are to be founded upon either 1) \u201cthe law of revelation\u201d (\u201cthe holy scriptures\u201d, the Bible), and\/or 2) \u201cthe law of nature\u201d (God\u2019s Law in Nature, not Romish so-called <i>natural law<\/i>).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe committee convened to frame\u201d the Fundamental Orders (Constitution) of Connecticut (1639) \u201cwas charged to make the laws:\u201d<br \/>\n<b>\u00a0\u00a0<u>As near the law of God as they can be<\/u>.<br \/>\n<\/b><br \/>\n[ William J.
