Martin<\/a> ( R-Pickens ).<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p><u>Note<\/u>: Video of the entire April 5 meeting is posted here:<b> <\/b><a href=\"http:\/\/scstatehouse.gov\/video\/videofeed.php\">http:\/\/scstatehouse.gov\/video\/videofeed.php<\/a><b><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><u>Video Archives by meeting time<br \/>\n<\/u><\/b>Video &#8211; 2:04:47<br \/>\nTuesday, April 5, 2016\u00a0 3:00 pm<br \/>\nSenate Judiciary Committee &#8212; Judiciary Committee<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: xx-large;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><b>4) The next <a href=\"http:\/\/scstatehouse.gov\/meetings.php?chamber=S\">regular Tuesday<\/a> meeting of the full <a href=\"http:\/\/scstatehouse.gov\/CommitteeInfo\/senatejudiciary.php\">Senate Judiciary Committee<\/a> will likely be\u00a0Tuesday, April 12\u00a0 at 3pm.\u00a0 Once\u00a0 again,\u00a0 it\u00a0 is\u00a0 expected\u00a0 that\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scstatehouse.gov\/sess121_2015-2016\/bills\/719.htm\">S.719<\/a> will be taken up at that\u00a0meeting.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scstatehouse.gov\/sess121_2015-2016\/bills\/719.htm\">S.719<\/a> SC Personhood Constitutional Amendment should be #12 ( item &#8220;L.&#8221; )\u00a0on the agenda for that April 12th, 3PM\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/scstatehouse.gov\/meetings.php?chamber=S\">meeting<\/a>, unless the Chairman, Senator <a href=\"http:\/\/scstatehouse.gov\/member.php?code=1172727132\">Larry A. Martin<\/a>\u00a0either: a) places something else at the beginning of the meeting, or b) places something at<br \/>\nthe top of the agenda, both of which circumstances occurred on April 5th.<br \/>\n<\/b><\/span><b><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\">5) The meeting will likely be in Room 105 in the Senate Gressette Office Bldg., State House grounds,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Columbia, South Carolina, however it is advised to check the meeting details as posted <a href=\"http:\/\/scstatehouse.gov\/meetings.php?chamber=S\">here<\/a>.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>______________________________<br \/>\n______________________________<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: x-large;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><u>Considerations moving forward to likely April 12th<\/u> <a href=\"http:\/\/scstatehouse.gov\/CommitteeInfo\/senatejudiciary.php\">Senate Judiciary Committee<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/scstatehouse.gov\/meetings.php?chamber=S\">Meeting<\/a>:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Contact made directly with Senator <a href=\"http:\/\/scstatehouse.gov\/member.php?code=0819318084\">Greg Hembree<\/a> ( R &#8211; Dillon, Horry ), and with <a href=\"http:\/\/scstatehouse.gov\/member.php?code=0141193165\">Sean Bennett<\/a> ( R &#8211; Berkeley,\u00a0Charleston, Dorchester ) prior to the April 5th Judiciary Committee meeting indicated each is generally favorable\u00a0to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scstatehouse.gov\/sess121_2015-2016\/bills\/719.htm\">S.719<\/a>, however neither would commit to vote for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scstatehouse.gov\/sess121_2015-2016\/bills\/719.htm\">S.719<\/a>, apparently positing themselves as wishing to see\u00a0what is said in the Senate Judiciary Committee when the bill is finally taken up.\u00a0 It should be noted that while<br \/>\n<u>both<\/u> Senator <a href=\"http:\/\/scstatehouse.gov\/member.php?code=0819318084\">Greg Hembree<\/a> and Senator <a href=\"http:\/\/scstatehouse.gov\/member.php?code=0141193165\">Sean Bennett<\/a> were co-sponsors of a Personhood statutory bill (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.scstatehouse.gov\/sess120_2013-2014\/bills\/457.htm\"> S.457<\/a>)\u00a0in the 2013-2014 Session of the SC Legislature, that <i><u>neither<\/u><\/i> <a href=\"http:\/\/scstatehouse.gov\/member.php?code=0819318084\">Greg Hembree<\/a> <i><u>nor<\/u><\/i> <a href=\"http:\/\/scstatehouse.gov\/member.php?code=0141193165\">Sean Bennett<\/a> are co-sponsors\u00a0of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scstatehouse.gov\/sess121_2015-2016\/bills\/719.htm\">S.719<\/a> Personhood Constitutional Amendment now.\u00a0 In the opinion of this writer neither <a href=\"http:\/\/scstatehouse.gov\/member.php?code=0819318084\">Greg Hembree<\/a> nor\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/scstatehouse.gov\/member.php?code=0141193165\">Sean Bennett<\/a> can be confidently counted upon to cast their vote for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scstatehouse.gov\/sess121_2015-2016\/bills\/719.htm\">S.719<\/a> Personhood Constitutional Amendment,<br \/>\nat this time.<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: x-large;\"><br \/>\n<\/span>The filing period for candidates for election in South Carolina ended March 30, 2016.\u00a0 Several Senators who are\u00a0members of the <a href=\"http:\/\/scstatehouse.gov\/CommitteeInfo\/senatejudiciary.php\">Senate Judiciary Committee<\/a> who have not <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scstatehouse.gov\/sess121_2015-2016\/bills\/719.htm\">co-sponsored<\/a> and\/or <a href=\"https:\/\/personhood.sc\/pledge\/pledge-signers\/\">pledged<\/a> to support <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scstatehouse.gov\/sess121_2015-2016\/bills\/719.htm\">S.719<\/a> Personhood\u00a0Constitutional Amendment have Primary and\/or General Election opposition, according to information and candidate\u00a0filings posted <a href=\"https:\/\/info.scvotes.sc.gov\/Eng\/Candidate\/CandidateSearch.aspx?ElectionId=20026&amp;QSHelperHash=8665765C53B5B7B5B0C52FEEDD145CD792A4A273\">here<\/a> on the SC Election Commission website ( <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scvotes.org\/\">www.scvotes.org<\/a> ), including:<\/p>\n<p><strong>1.\u00a0 <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Rex Rice, Don Joslyn, <\/span>and<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"> Allan Quinn<\/span> have all filed to run as Republicans for SC Senate District #2,\u00a0the seat currently occupied by 23-year incumbent Senator <a href=\"http:\/\/scstatehouse.gov\/member.php?code=1172727132\">Larry A.
