(SC Citizens for Life calls <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scstatehouse.gov\/sess125_2023-2024\/bills\/3774.htm\">H3774<\/a> &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.aweber.com\/newsletter\/awlist5112558\/MTc2MDI1OTk=\/action-alert-house-judiciary-committee-to-debate-human-life-protection-act-on-feb-7.htm\">pro-life legislation<\/a>&#8220;, but how can that be true when <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scstatehouse.gov\/sess125_2023-2024\/bills\/3774.htm\">H3774<\/a> actually <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><u>FUNDS<\/u><\/span> certain &#8220;abortions&#8221; !!!???)<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scstatehouse.gov\/sess125_2023-2024\/bills\/3774.htm\">H3774<\/a> continues to fail to protect <u>ANY<\/u> human life at conception, but instead, only at the point of a &#8220;clinically diagnosable pregnancy&#8221; &#8211; e.g., from a positive pregnancy test <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">AFTER IMPLANTATION,<\/span> because <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scstatehouse.gov\/sess125_2023-2024\/bills\/3774.htm\">H3774<\/a> purports to &#8220;ban&#8221; a procedure (&#8220;abortion&#8221;) instead of<br \/>\nestablishing a legal identity <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">AT FERTILIZATION<\/span> for the preborn through <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Personhood<\/span>.<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scstatehouse.gov\/sess125_2023-2024\/bills\/3774.htm\">H3774<\/a> still protects the continued use of IUD and Plan B (MAP) abortifacient birth control.<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scstatehouse.gov\/sess125_2023-2024\/bills\/3774.htm\">H3774<\/a> still provides birth control to dependents (youth) with which to fornicate, through PEBA and the State Health Insurance Plan.<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scstatehouse.gov\/sess125_2023-2024\/bills\/3774.htm\">H3774<\/a> still forces private and group insurance and HMO policies in South Carolina to cover birth control, which assumedly includes abortifacient birth control.<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scstatehouse.gov\/sess125_2023-2024\/bills\/3774.htm\">H3774<\/a> still tries to redefine science and biology by falsely claiming a &#8220;contraceptive&#8221; may prevent implantation, when that is the definition of an abortifacient, not a contraceptive.<br \/>\n<\/b>______________________________________________<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b>Of interest:<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b>Pro-&#8220;abortion&#8221; attorney Rep. Justin Bamberg (D) spoke more about the unborn as a <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">&#8220;person&#8221; <\/span>THAN DID ANY &#8220;PRO-LIFE&#8221; REPUBLICAN, including H3774 chief sponsor, Rep. McCravy.<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b>Watch Judiciary Committee February 7, 2023 meeting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scstatehouse.gov\/video\/archives.php?key=12810&amp;part=1\">video<\/a> above, 1:25:15 to 1:29:00 (less than four minutes).<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b>Rep. Bamberg quotes:<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b>&#8220;No person shall&#8230;&#8221;<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b>In the bill&#8217;s definitional section, &#8220;Person isn&#8217;t defined in the &#8230; bill.&#8221;<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b>&#8220;What is a person under the Constitution in this State ?&#8221;<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b>&#8220;But we don&#8217;t even define unborn child as a person in this state. Our Constitution doesn&#8217;t. And our law doesn&#8217;t. And this bill doesn&#8217;t. Bamberg is a pro-abort, and he may just be trying to lure Republicans into a trap so he can then turn around and criticize them for being &#8220;extreme&#8221;, the point is, he is right. Are the unborn &#8220;people&#8221; ? Are they <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">&#8220;persons&#8221;<\/span> ? Why for the last 7 1\/2 months since <em>Dobbs<\/em> have Republicans failed to advocate for passage of <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Personhood<\/span> legislation ?<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b>The official SC GOP Party Platform is a <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">PERSONHOOD<\/span> Platform ( <a href=\"https:\/\/sc.gop\/assets\/uploads\/2022\/09\/SCGOP-Platform.pdf\">https:\/\/sc.gop\/assets\/uploads\/2022\/09\/SCGOP-Platform.pdf<\/a> ), so why in Fall 2022 were the Republicans in the SC House and SC Senate not unified in supporting <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Personhood<\/span> legislation such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scstatehouse.gov\/sess124_2021-2022\/bills\/5401.htm\">H5401<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scstatehouse.gov\/sess124_2021-2022\/bills\/1335.htm\">S1335<\/a> ? AND WHY IS REP. Personhood legislation passed the full SC House in 2005 (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.scstatehouse.gov\/sess116_2005-2006\/bills\/3213.htm\">H3213<\/a>), albeit flawed by still allowing use of an abortifacient drug in rape cases.
