\n<\/span>Rep. McCravy’s Bill still contains exceptions to a ban on “abortion” for so-called life\/serious health of the mother (despite DublinDeclaration<\/a>.com<\/a>), rape\/incest, and so-called fatal fetal “anomaly” [sic – euthanasia].<\/em>
\n<\/i><\/b>
\n<\/span>H3774<\/a> still codifies the FUNDING<\/u><\/span>\u00a0of “Abortions” in the cases of these exceptions in the State Health Insurance Plan. (SC Citizens for Life calls H3774<\/a> “pro-life legislation<\/a>“, but how can that be true when H3774<\/a> actually FUNDS<\/u><\/span> certain “abortions” !!!???)
\n<\/b>
\n<\/span>H3774<\/a> continues to fail to protect ANY<\/u> human life at conception, but instead, only at the point of a “clinically diagnosable pregnancy” – e.g., from a positive pregnancy test AFTER IMPLANTATION,<\/span> because H3774<\/a> purports to “ban” a procedure (“abortion”) instead of
\nestablishing a legal identity AT FERTILIZATION<\/span> for the preborn through Personhood<\/span>.
\n<\/b>
\n<\/span>H3774<\/a> still protects the continued use of IUD and Plan B (MAP) abortifacient birth control.
\n<\/b>
\n<\/span>H3774<\/a> still provides birth control to dependents (youth) with which to fornicate, through PEBA and the State Health Insurance Plan.
\n<\/b>
\n<\/span>H3774<\/a> still forces private and group insurance and HMO policies in South Carolina to cover birth control, which assumedly includes abortifacient birth control.

\n<\/span>H3774<\/a> still tries to redefine science and biology by falsely claiming a “contraceptive” may prevent implantation, when that is the definition of an abortifacient, not a contraceptive.

\n<\/span>Although Rep. Bamberg is a pro-abort, and he may just be trying to lure Republicans into a trap so he can then turn around and criticize them for being “extreme”, the point is, he is right. Are the unborn “people” ? Are they “persons”<\/span> ? Why for the last 7 1\/2 months since Dobbs<\/em> have Republicans failed to advocate for passage of Personhood<\/span> legislation ?

\n<\/span>The official SC GOP Party Platform is a PERSONHOOD<\/span> Platform ( https:\/\/sc.gop\/assets\/uploads\/2022\/09\/SCGOP-Platform.pdf<\/a> ), so why in Fall 2022 were the Republicans in the SC House and SC Senate not unified in supporting Personhood<\/span> legislation such as H5401<\/a> and S1335<\/a> ? Personhood legislation passed out of the Senate Judiciary Committee in both 2016 (S719<\/a>) and 2018 (S217<\/a>) and was placed on the full Senate calendar, where each piece of legislation died.

McCravy rightly explained in his Judiciary Committee remarks on Tuesday, Feb 7, the bill H3774<\/a> protects human life from the point of a “clinically diagnosable pregnancy” (i.e., NOT<\/u> at conception). The WIS-TV reporter is not correct. Unfortunately, Rep. McCravy did not further clarify this means the bill does not protect human life until AFTER IMPLANTATION<\/span> (If Rep.
