font-size: large;\"><u>opponent<\/u> <\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\">of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scstatehouse.gov\/sess122_2017-2018\/bills\/217.htm\">S.217<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scstatehouse.gov\/member.php?code=0302272691\">Campsen<\/a> (Senate Fish, Game and Forestry Committee Chairman) ].\u00a0 None of the 9 Democrats on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scstatehouse.gov\/committee.php?chamber=S#jud\">Judiciary Committee<\/a>\u00a0are presently co-sponsoring <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scstatehouse.gov\/sess122_2017-2018\/bills\/217.htm\">S<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scstatehouse.gov\/sess122_2017-2018\/bills\/217.htm\">.217<\/a>.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\">&#8211; The April 26 meeting was scheduled to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scstatehouse.gov\/meetings.php?chamber=S\">convene at 9am<\/a>, but was started about 15 minutes late.\u00a0 The full Senate was scheduled to go into session in the Senate chamber over at the State House at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scstatehouse.gov\/meetings.php?chamber=S\">11am<\/a>, which placed a specific time limit on the length of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scstatehouse.gov\/sess122_2017-2018\/bills\/217.htm\">S<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scstatehouse.gov\/sess122_2017-2018\/bills\/217.htm\">.217<\/a> Subcommittee hearing.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\">&#8211; The Subcommittee chairwoman Senator <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scstatehouse.gov\/member.php?code=0194318159\">Bright Matthews<\/a> [ D &#8211; appointed by &#8220;Republican&#8221; Senator <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scstatehouse.gov\/member.php?code=151136345\">Luke <\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.scstatehouse.gov\/member.php?code=151136345\">Rankin<\/a> (R-Horry) ] explained at the beginning of the meeting that time would have to be allowed at the end of the meeting for the Subcommittee to vote on the bill, and so speakers would not be called beyond a certain time ahead of the end of the meeting to allow that vote to take place.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8211;
